What a subscription covers

EKS Manager is sold through AWS Marketplace and billed monthly in US dollars, on your existing AWS bill. You choose the quantity of each of the four items below when you subscribe, and the prices are shown on the listing before you commit to anything.

The four things you subscribe to

Item	One unit is	How many you need
EKS Manager Server`server`	The hosted control plane your agent connects to: the interface, the database, the upgrade and secrets machinery. We run it in an AWS account we operate, and your subscription covers it.	Always one, whatever size your estate is.
Managed EKS Cluster`cluster`	One EKS cluster under management, whether EKS Manager created it or you added it afterwards. Cluster size makes no difference: a three-node cluster and a hundred-node cluster are one unit each.	One for every cluster configured in the software, plus any cluster removed from it in the last 120 days. The figure is shown in the software under Settings, Licences.
Production Support`support_production`	Committed response targets: 4 business hours for P1 and 1 business day for P2, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 CET. Targets are for acknowledgement, not resolution. It covers up to five clusters.	Optional, and at most one. Community support is included with every subscription at no extra cost.
Production Support — additional clusters`support_cluster_overage`	One further cluster covered by Production Support, beyond the five it already includes.	Only with Production Support. If you manage twenty clusters, this is fifteen.

Production Support applies to clusters running the current or the immediately previous EKS Manager core stack release. The core stack is upgraded three times a year, in February, June and October.

How billing works

Monthly, in advance. AWS invoices you on your normal AWS bill, and pays us. There is nothing to set up with us.
Turn on automatic renewal when you subscribe. A monthly contract that is not set to renew ends after one month, and your EKS Manager environment is shut down when it does. It is also what lets you add clusters mid-term.
Adding clusters. Increase the quantity in the AWS Marketplace console at any time; AWS pro-rates the difference for the rest of the month.
Reducing. AWS allows a reduction at renewal rather than mid-term, so a smaller estate takes effect from the next month.
Cancelling. Turn automatic renewal off in the AWS Marketplace console; access continues to the end of the month you have paid for. Pro-rated refunds are not offered.

Your AWS infrastructure is separate and always has been: the agent, your clusters and everything they run are billed to you by AWS, not by us.

Larger estates and custom terms

Volume, annual commitments and anything else that does not fit the list prices are handled as a private offer, which is a price agreed with you and presented through AWS Marketplace as your own offer. Tell us what you are running and we will put one together.
